A seasoned media practitioner, Mr Ayo Arowojolu has come on board the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta following his appointment last week as the Coordinator, UNAAB Radio FM.
Mr Arowojolu brings to the institution a wealth of media and corporate experience, garnered over the last 21 years, to drive, add value and make meaningful inputs towards the successful take-off and sustenance of an efficient broadcasting service for the University and its many stakeholders.
Prior to his appointment, which took effect from Wednesday, October 5, 2011, he was formerly the Ogun State Bureau Chief of The Western Publishing Company Limited, owners of The Westerner Magazine and Compass Newspapers.
His multi-varied work experience cutting across the media, insurance and banking industries included Omegabank Plc (now Enterprise Bank Plc) where he was Acting Head, Corporate Affairs Department of the bank. He had also previously worked at the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA Channel 7, Tejuosho, Lagos and the Ondo State Radio Vision Corporation, Akure.
Mr Arowojolu holds a Master of Communication Arts (MCA) degree from the University of Ibadan, which he obtained in 2001. Before then, he had bagged a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mass Communication from the then Ogun State Polytechnic, Abeokuta in 1990.
With the new development, the coast is now clearer for the successful actualization of the University’s dream of full broadcast transmission of information and relevant research activities to the diverse stakeholders of the university through the establishment of the community radio.
