The Governing Council has approved the appointment of Mr. Moses Olusola Ilesanmi as the new substantive Bursar, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB).
According to a release, signed by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun, Council approved Mr. Ilesanmi’s appointment at its 68th Statutory Meeting held on September 23, 2011.
The appointment, which takes effect from 23rd September, 2011 is for a term of five (5) years. Until his appointment, Mr. Ilesanmi was the University’s Acting Bursar.
A brilliant student in his days, Mr. Ilesanmi studied Accountancy at the Ogun State Polytechnic, now known as Moshood Abiola Polytechnic and graduated in 1982 with Distinction.
He became an Associate and Fellow of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) in 1986 and 2011, respectively.
A former Director of the University’s Treasury, Mr. Ilesanmi is FUNAAB ‘s third Bursar. Before him was the Pioneer Bursar, Mr. Samuel Taiwo Osamiluyi, who was succeeded by Revd. Elijah Olorunsogo Ajayi.
Responding to his appointment, Mr. Ilesanmi, who is a Pastoral Assistant at Living Faith Church (a.k.a Winners Chapel) described his appointment as an act of God and gave thanks to the Almighty.
He also expressed gratitude to the Council, the Professor Balogun led-Management, Senate, Staff and students of the University for giving him the opportunity to serve.
The Bursar assured them that he won’t betray the confidence reposed in him stressing, “we will continue to render quality service to the Community and we shall also improve on what we have done up to date”
