The immediate past Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development), Prof. Segun Lagoke, was the cynosure of all eyes at the just concluded 39th Annual Conference of the Weed Science Society of Nigeria (WSSN).
Prof. Segun Lagoke received heaps of encomiums from members of the Society, who took turn to express their gratitude for his painstaking and inspiring efforts of taking the body to greater heights.At the event, well attended by participants from across Africa and Asia, members, during the launch of the Society’s in-house journal, described Prof. Lagoke as a mentor and father-figure, having taught some of them in their Undergraduate days.
They noted that the contributions of the former Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development) would go a long way at enabling the Society to become formidable and take its pride of place.
