The National University Commission (NUC) team on Institutional Accreditation of the University (FUNAAB) arrived campus on Monday amid poise and resolution to discharge its duties without fear or favour.
Beaming with smiles and exuding noticeable confidence, the team, which comprises of Legal luminary, erudite scholars, tested and proven University Administrators alighted from a white Bus at the Senate Car Park at 10:25 am.
Leading the Team of the eminent personalities is the Chairman, Professor Ilochi Okafor, who has carved a niche as the former Vice-Chancellor, Nnamdi Azikwe University, Awka, former Board Member, Nigeria Universities Commission (NUC) and as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria.
The Team was accompanied to the Vice-Chancellor’s office by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic, Professor Toyin Arowolo, his Development counterpart, Professor Felix Salako, the Acting Registrar, Mrs. Christiana Kuforiji, the Director, Institute for Human Resources and Development (INHURD), Professor Babatunde Kehinde, Director, Academic Planning, Professor Waheed Kadiri, among others.
The Team was warmly welcomed to the University by the Vice-Chancellor,Professor Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun, who as usual had been on ground earlier to receive the visitors.
After the traditional exchange of pleasantries and extension of courtesies, the Vice-Chancellor led the Team to the Council Chamber where he presented relevant documents and papers to the members.
Thereafter, the Vice-Chancellor led the team to the Senate Chamber for the formal maiden meeting with all stakeholders in the University.
