The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has bagged the prestigious Award of the Best University of Agriculture in Africa.
The honour, which came under the aegis of The Le Matinal Educational Excellence Award was held in conjunction with the World Education Congress and the Asian Confederation of Businesses in Mauritius.
The Award was received on behalf of the University by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Toyin Arowolo, who represented the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun; the Acting Registrar; Mrs. Christiana Kuforifji and the Director, Centre for Internationalisation and Partnerships; Dr. Olukayode Akinyemi.
According to the Report On India Partnership Summit Le Matinal Educational Excellence Awards, forwarded to FUNAAB Bulletin, 20 institutions won various awards, while 21 others bagged awards in the business circle.
“FUNAAB alongside the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), American University of Nigeria and Adamawa State University, Mubi were the only institutions in Nigeria that made the list of awardees at the occasion”, the report stated.
The Report further informed that the vision of the organizer “was to pay tribute to temples of learning and Gurus who shaped the destiny of future creators”.
