The British Broadcasting Corporation, BBC-trained personnel in the University’s FM Radio, Mr. Rufai Oseni, has predicted that the Radio Station will be a reference point among its peers, very soon.

Mr. Oseni, who made this known while fielding questions from FUNAAB Bulletin, noted that the station is ready to make impact in the University community, as a force to reckon with.

The Broadcaster, a 500-level student in the Department of Animal Physiology, added that the ethics of the media profession will be strictly adhered to by embarking on well researched, self-sustained and unbiased news and current affairs programmes.

On the quality of programming, he disclosed that state-of –the-art equipment that is already available in the studio will make the FUNAAB FM Radio to be “a nucleus of the world in our small environment”.

“Presently, 10 students are on training daily at the studio where we teach them the nitty-gritty of how to cast news and create quality programmes”, he added.

Mr. Oseni, however, called on members of staff of the University to make use of the opportunity of showcasing their talents by coming up with innovations that would help to take the Radio Station to greater heights.
