More revelations have emerged on the January 2012 World Web Ranking of Universities, in which the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) is ranked 2nd in the country and 35th in Africa.

Unknown to many avid watchers of the global exercise, FUNAAB came first by leading other tertiary institutions in the country in the current category of the Google Scholar, as was also the case in the July 2011 edition.

Goggle Scholar is one of the four criteria used in ranking tertiary institutions. The Head, Webometrics Centre of the University, Dr. Olusegun Folorunso, enlightened that information from Goggle Scholar, “entails a number of papers and citations for each academic domain. The results from the scholar database include papers, reports and other academic items”.
