It was a happy re-union for old schoolmates during the 15th Annual Convention and 14th Annual Lecture Series of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta Alumni Association, held penultimate Friday and Saturday in the University.
This year’s Convention witnessed an unprecedented turn-out of members as virtually all branches of the Association, including the United Kingdom and Abuja chapters were adequately represented.
Members of the Association, who spoke to FUNAAB Bulletin, could not hide their excitement because they had an interesting time, replete with pomp, pageantry and exchange of camaraderie.
The presence of the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Chief Lawrence Ayinde Olakunle Osayemi; the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun and the Provost, Adeyemi College of Education, Professor Yemi Idowu, with the Director, Institute of Food Security Resources and Agricultural Research (IFSERAR), Professor Segun Osinowo added glamour to the event.
Speaking at the occasion, the Alumni President, Professor Lateef Sanni, catalogued the achievements of the present Executive Council to include: increase in membership, empowerment of alma mater and sustained peace and stability.
