The University Community will be witnessing an unprecedented celebration galore as various activities for the glorious exit of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun take centre stage from Monday, April 23, 2012, through Tuesday, May 15, 2012.
According to “Detailed programme of Send-Forth Activities for the Vice-Chancellor” issued by the University Ceremonials Committee and signed by the Secretary, Mr. Bayo Ogundimu, members of the University Community had been enjoined to participate actively in the valedictory activities.
The highpoint of the activities is the Community Day of Appreciation for the Vice-Chancellor, which will hold on Friday, May 11, 2012 at the new 2000-capacity Ceremonial Building, by 2.30p.m.
The release urged all segments of the University Community wishing to present gifts, to the Vice-Chancellor to make their presentations at the event.
Other highlight of the valedictory activities are media tour of projects with the Vice-Chancellor, send-forth programmes by the University Library, National Association of Agricultural Students, Staff School, Institute for Human Resources and Developments, and the University’s International School (FUNIS).
Also inclusive are send-forth by the Sports’ Directorate, Health Services, FUNAAB Micro Finance Bank and Valedictory Church Service and Reception.
