VC, Prof. Olusola Bandele Oyewole
“For those of you that have the thinking that I will destroy the structures on ground, I want you to change your thought. I will not destroy the structure on ground. If you cross the lawn, you will go home”, stated the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Professor Olusola Bandele.
Professor Olusola Bandele Oyewole, gave this clarification at the Official Handing-over Ceremony, held at the Julius Okojie Lecture Theatre Complex.
Professor Oyewole assured the physically-challenged students, of his total support, just like his predecessor, Professor Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun, who bought a special vehicle, to ease their movements and assisted in the payment of the school fees of some of the students, while in office.
He promised both the Academic and Non-Teaching Staff of sustainable human capacity development.
Earlier, in his welcome address, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council of the University, Chief Lawrence Ayinde Olakunle Osayemi, scored the immediate past Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun, an A+ , for a job well-done and wished him success in his future endeavours.
He welcomed the new Vice-Chancellor and assured the entire members of the University community that Professor Oyewole would not disappoint them as he implored them to give him their total support.
The Pro-Chancellor charged the new Vice-Chancellor, to take FUNAAB to greater heights, among the comity of world class Universities.
