… Management Declares Lecture-free Days
Over 30,000 candidates will expectedly write the Unified Post-University Tertiary Matriculation Examination for the 2012/2013 Academic Session, holding between Wednesday, 6th and Friday 8th June, 2012, at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) Permanent Site, Alabata Road, Abeokuta.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic, Professor Toyin Arowolo, disclosed this to FUNAAB Bulletin in an exclusive chat, stating that necessary logistics had been made towards making the exercise a huge success.
The DVC, Academic, who described previous exercise as successful, said the University had gone back to the drawing board to re-strategize for improvement in the conduct of the Post-UTME.
Prof. Arowolo called on University staff involved in the examinations to discharge their duties diligently, in line with the existing tradition of transparency, fairness and justice, which the University is noted for.
He admonished the candidates to conduct themselves properly, stressing that the University placed high premium on moral values in official dealings.
Meanwhile, the University Management has declared Wednesday, 6th to Friday, 8th June, 2012 as lecture-free days,
as contained in a statement signed by the Acting Registrar, Mrs. C. B. Kuforiji, to allow for the smooth conduct of the Post-UTME.
“This is to inform all staff and students of the University that JAO I, II and III Lecture Theatres have been selected as the venues of the Post-UTME being organized by the University”, the statement said.
The statement urged the Chairman, Time-Table and Examinations Committee (TIMTEC), to advise affected lecturers and students to re-schedule their lectures, as appropriate.
Meanwhile, the University is already making arrangements to cable-network the three Lecture Theatres, from Saturday, 2nd to Tuesday, 5th June, 2012.
