Participants at the International Society for Tropical Root Crop Symposium could not hide their admiration for the well organised opening ceremony and overwhelming physical infrastructure, the aesthetics and serenity of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB)

FB: What is your take on this Conference?
JW: I came to be more informed on the new technology on yam genetics in particular.
FB: What is your take on the Opening Ceremony?
JW: Oh yes, the Opening Ceremony was very inspiring, I think it sets the stage for the next days.
FB: What is your assessment of this University?
JW: Well, it is my first time in this University but it is very impressive, the size of the Campus and the compound is very impressive, a lot of space and new buildings, i am looking forward to seeing more.

PB: It began very well, the opening has been very inspiring, a lot of good talks about the important of the root and tuber in the economy of Nigeria and then world wide.
FB: What about the aesthetics?
PB: it is very pleasing, very nice.

FM: So far, it seems well organised and the attendance is very good and the speeches were very good so I am hoping it will continue.

FM: It is beautiful, it is really nice.
