The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olusola Bandele Oyewole has beckoned on journalists, especially in Ogun State to join the University in celebrating her Silver Jubilee Anniversary.

Professor Oyewole gave the charge while addressing the Executives of the State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists, who paid him a courtesy call in his office.

Extending invitation to newsmen in the state, Professor Oyewole said Journalists, apart from being stakeholders have contributed immensely to the success of the University since inception.

Consequently, the Vice-Chancellor said it is therefore expedient and imperative for them to share in the joy of FUNAAB’s success story as embedded in legacy of excellence that is research and value driven as well as tradition of infrastructural facilities.

He stressed that the best way for journalists to celebrate with FUNAAB is to publicise various activities lined-up for the celebration, spanning the whole year.

Responding to the NUJ Chairman commendation of FUNAAB’s feat in the latest ranking, the Vice-Chancellor stated that “this type of thing (web ranking) did not come without hardwork”.

Professor Oyewole said the University is more concerned about becoming a World-Class University where foreigners will be schooling and working in the University.
