A Retreat for the University Student Union Executive (FUNAABSU) on leadership and mentoring is now in progress at the International Scholar Resource Centre (ISRC)
The Retreat which began on Monday evening will end on Wednesday.
According to the Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Olufemi Onifade, the aim of the Retreat is to expose the present set of student leaders to the nitty-gritty of leadership and mentorship with a view to preparing them for the challenges ahead.
The President of FUNAAB Students Union, Mr. Tope Adesipo said the retreat is a fulfillment of the promise of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olusola Bandele Oyewole made to the Executive during their inauguration ceremony.
He described the retreat as timely, imperative and relevant to them as student leaders, noting that it will impact on the leadership positively.
According to him, the Resource persons include, Mr. Ibi Somefun, a former Special Assistant to Governor Gbenga Daniel and Mrs. Folakemi Segun Idowu.
