Professor Oluseyi Oluwatosin of the Department of Animal Nutrition has completed his tenure as Dean of the College of Animal Science and Livestock Production of the University.
Speaking at an event organised to welcome back to the department and in honour of his meritorious service to the University and the College, Professor Oluwatosin said that he wouldn’t have succeeded as Dean if not for the support of God, his colleagues and cooperation of the Management.
“You can’t say you have served if you can’t point people whom you have groomed to step in to your shoes,” stressing that that he has groomed staffers who could pick up the baton and continue where he stopped.
In his remarks, the Ag. Head of the Department, Dr Abimbola Oso described Prof. Oluwatosin as a charismatic leader who is passionate about the success of others and applauded him for developing a conducive environment and fulfilling his set goals.
Professor Chryss Onwuka in his reflection extolled the former Dean whom he described as a leader that has contributed in building the College and Department in various capacities with series of projects.
He noted also that Prof Oluwatosin is a selfless leader with integrity who has served meticulously and set standards for others to follow.
He urged other staff to borrow a leaf from the principles of the University Don and not rest on their oars.
Other leadership traits of Professor Oluwatosin lauded by members of staff of the Department and College were his objectivity, selflessness and mentorship.
