In A bid to inspire the next generation of leaders, The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Professor Kolawole Salako represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development) Professor Lateef Sanni welcomed the pupils from Dew Hills Primary School to an interactive and educative session during a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor and the University.
The Vice-Chancellor while addressing the students explained that FUNAAB is a University that teaches about animals and plants. According to him, FUNAAB students learn how to rear animals, plant the food we eat, process the raw materials, package them for consumption and also learn how to market the processed food products. And above all, FUNAAB ensures the students learn value addition, he said.
While speaking at the session, The Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academics, Professor Morenike Dipeolu reminded the students that they can be anything they set out to achieve, but stressed that to achieve any dream, they must be determined, hardworking, obedient children and students and above all, prayerful.
The proprietor of the school Mrs. Adefolakemi Ogundele expressed immense gratitiude to the Vice-Chancellor for granting their request to visit, which, according to her is part of their vision to inspire young minds.
The students showed they were inspired asked different questions about the University and how to take care of animals. The session ended with a song reminding the students they are a shining light and they should allow themselves shine, while the School presented its mementos to appreciate the University.
