The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kolawole Salako has lauded Chartered Accountants in the University for their professionalism and ethical conduct in handling her financial transactions.

Giving the commendation during the 2nd Village Square Meeting of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria hosted by the University, Professor Salako who was represented by the Bursar, Mr. Chukwuwnike Ezekpeazu expressed satisfaction with the high ethical values exhibited by Chartered Accountants in the University in the discharge of their duties.

According to him, the University’s expectations of Accountants, particularly members of the Institute are high and as such they must always put into practice their professional values.

The Vice-Chancellor charged them not to misuse information at their disposal but to be upright and maintain integrity in all their dealings.

Earlier in his Address, the ICAN Abeokuta District Chairman, Deacon Atilade Bolarinwa thanked the University Management for its cooperation and continuous support to members, assuring that they will continue to give their best to any organisation they work for.

Mr. Bolarinwa stated that the aim of the meeting is to interact with the organisation where members of the Institute are, identify with them and create an atmosphere of oneness and belonging.

In his Welcome Address, the FUNAAB Coordinator of the Village Square Meeting, Mr Hafees Adeleke appreciated members for their large turnout and encouraged them to take advantage of the meeting as a medium to network and acquire new knowledge.

He further enjoined members to pay their annual subscription regularly and update their records.
