The University has congratulated and felicitated with the Paramount Ruler and Alake of Egbaland, HRM Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, Okukenu IV, CFR on his 75th Birthday Anniversary.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kolawole Salako in his congratulatory message while fielding questions from Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation (OGBC) Crew and during his Courtesy Visit to Iwe Irohin Press Centre thanked God for sparing the life of Alake in peace and not in pieces to add another glorious year.

Professor Salako noted with joy that the Paramount Ruler’s birthday deserved and called for celebration because it has been an exemplary and highly emulatable life that is devoted to the service of Egbaland, the nation and humanity in general.

The Vice-Chancellor pointed out that Oba Gbadebo has not only impacted on humanity, he has bequeathed an enduring legacy of progress, peace and tranquillity in Egbaland.

He stated that the prevailing peace and socio, economic development of Egbaland since he ascended the throne of his forebears is a testimonial of his choice as the leader of his people. In reference to the University, Professor Salako repeatedly described Oba Gbadebo as a worthy father who is painstakingly and deeply committed to the peace and progress of FUNAAB.

According to him, “Kabiyesi Alake Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, CFR, Okukenu IV has been a good father to our University. His intervention in communal issues involving the University and its host has led to mutual, harmonious resolution”.

“Kabiyesi has also taken the clamour for the retention of our Management Science courses to the Presidency. His intervention has been very significant. We are happy to identify with, congratulate and felicitate with our Baba on this joyous occasion”, he added.

Speaking further, Professor Salako prayed God to grant HRM Gbadebo many more years in sound health, progress and development of Egbaland on the throne of his forefathers.
