The authorities of the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (UNAAB), had expressed satisfaction with the profile of its transport fleet, proclaiming that the Management has recorded an impressive improvement on the state of transportation in the University.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun, stated this in an Opening Remarks, made on his behalf, by the Deputy Dean, Student Affairs and Chairman, Management Committee on Transportation (MANCOT), Dr. Joe Atungwu, at the 18th Passing Out Parade/Induction Ceremony of the University’s Road Safety Club.

The Vice-chancellor disclosed that the University currently maintains twenty-eight buses in its fleet, adding that twenty out of the buses were brand new.

Professor Balogun commended the selfless dedication of the members of the Road Safety Club, particularly appreciating them for gallantly maintaining sanity on the University roads.

The Vice-Chancellor therefore admonished staffers and other road users to respect the Club members by obeying traffic rules, thereby encouraging the corps, to deliver, even beyond expectation.

In his Welcome Address, the outgoing Cadet-In-Chief, Cadet Olusegun Adenuga, noted that the Club has been outstanding in maintaining law and order at the University’s bus terminals and roads.
