The university’s Delegates to the 2011 NAMPO Agricultural Show and Farm Tour in South Africa have expressed appreciation to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun, for the sponsorship and opportunity given them to attend the programme.

The team, made-up of Deans, Directors and Heads of Farms in the University were exposed to tours of various agricultural enterprises and Farms in South Africa.

The delegation’s focus included identifying agricultural organizations and entreprises that are relevant to the mandates and programmes of the University, with a view to adapting same locally.

The delegates also concentrated on seeking potential partners and collaborators, with recommendations to the University Management for necessary follow up.

Among the places visited by the team, were the EL-Passo Farms, Cullina , South Africa, owned by Ms. Brylyne Chitsunge, who has been collaborating with UNAAB on the Kalahari Goat breeding and production in Nigeria
