A Clergy has espoused positive attributes of human un-reasonability, submitting that the virtue might be required to drive vision and move societies forward.

The Bishop of Issele-Uku Catholic Diocese of Delta State, Most Reverend (Dr.) Michael O. Elue, made this assertion in his Homily at the 20th Coronation Anniversary’s High Mass of the Asagba of Asaba, Obi (Prof.) Joseph Chike Edozien, penultimate Saturday, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Asaba.

Bishop Elue said any society desirous of accelerated development would not benefit much from amenable leader, but one with a strong character and slow, in yielding to demands from people.

The Bishop also admonished that people must learn to bury their differences and support their leaders to pave way for development, while equally warning that a community will remain stagnant if its people insist on preserving culture without giving adequate attention to the dynamism and evolving natures of culture.

The Priest enjoined leaders to learn ‘’to keep their heads, when others around them are losing theirs, they should at least believe in themselves, in moments of doubt’’, stressing that they must mandatorily keep ahead of people they lead.

Bishop Elue described Asagba Edozien as a focussed leader, who had been able to demonstrate his ‘’ability to point the way forward’’, therefore, urging his community to give him required support, to enable him deliver on all his developmental goals.

The Thanksgiving High Mass was replete with dignitaries from local and international communities, including immediate family members, public officials, royalties, business icons and the UNAAB community delegate, among others.
