Miss Oreoluwa Alade

A 17 year old student of UNAAB International School (UNIS), Miss. Alade, Oreoluwa Esther has done the University proud.

Alade, an indigene of Akure, Ondo State rattled, dazzled and shone like galaxy of stars by scoring 306 marks in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, which is the school’s highest score.

According to a release signed by the Principal of the School, Mrs. Adeola Olumide, Alade’s colleagues also swelled the rank of brilliant performance as the lowest mark scored by the 35 students who wrote the examination is 201.

Speaking in an exclusive chat with UNAAB Bulletin, the exceptionally brilliant Oreoluwa who is the daughter of the Headmistress of UNAAB Staff School, Mrs Florence Alade attributed her feat to God and her determination to excel against all odds.

The student, who disclosed that though she studied hard for the examination by treating past questions said she didn’t expect she could score as high as 306.

Oreoluwa, who is UNIS Health Prefect also pointed out that her brilliant performance was largely aided by the enabling atmosphere, provided for her by the Management of the University and the disciplinary disposition of the Principal, Mrs. Adeola Olumide.

She also ascribed it to her mother’s exemplary sterling qualities, especially in the area of academic excellence and the commitment of her Teachers, especially the Mathematics Tutor, Mr. Idemudia Friday Edoro.

Oreoluwa whose hobby is reading and singing expressed her readiness to write the forthcoming Post-UTME examinations and hopes to pass in flying colours, in order to realize her dream of studying Medicine at the University of Ibadan (UI).
