The University of Agriculture, Abeokuta has added another prestigious laurel to its shelve, as it has been honoured with an Award of Excellence in Agriculture and Nation Building by the Forum of Heads of Federal Establishments, Ogun State Chapter, at the Federal Civil Service Club House, Abeokuta.

While receiving the Award, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Development, Professor Segun Lagoke expressed appreciation to the Forum while pledging the University’s support for their programmes.

Speaking further, he maintained that the University will not relent in its efforts to bring Agricultural Development to the forefront of the Nigerian economy, while strengthening its capacity building programmes.

He reiterated the University’s commitment to improved capacity building and fostering bilateral relationships among African States, citing the recent Convocation Ceremony of the UNAAB Foreign African Scholars Scheme (UFASS), which had nationals of Liberia, The Gambia, Sierra-Leone among other African Countries as beneficiaries.

Other awardees include the Ogun State Comptroller Of Customs Service, The Nigerian Bottling Company, while a Post-Humous Award goes to Late (Mrs.) Bunmi Awotiku among others.
