An Intern with the University Directorate of Public Relations, Mr. Ayodeji Rasaki has commended the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun for a job well done, even as he declared that UNAAB is far better than most Private Universities.

Speaking with UNAAB Bulletin, the 300Level Mass Communication student of Bowen University, Iwo, Osun State, who is completing his 3-month Industrial Training this Friday, expressed shock at the high level of infrastructural facilities and social amenities that are in place in the University.

Rasaki, who distinguished himself as a promising Reporter, having wrote many stories that were published in the University Bulletin, during his internship said UNAAB facilities are so tempting “that any parent that has a child in a private University will be tempted to bring him or her to UNAAB”.

He attributed UNAAB’s rapid development of late to the commitment of Prof. Balogun led administration to transforming the institution in all ramifications, in order to be the best in the country and Africa at large.

Rasaki who also commended Prof. Balogun for putting in place a befitting Directorate of Public Relations said he had benefitted tremendously from it, having been thoroughly exposed to the rudiments of Journalism, Public Relations, Protocol and Passages during his internship.

According to him, “I have really experienced real exposure to the practical of classroom teachings on Public Relations, Journalism and Protocols in the Directorate. This will undoubtedly facilitate a quick uptake when I resume at BOWEN. On getting there, I will try to convince some staff to come up with the idea of establishing a Public Relations Directorate”.

Ayodeji said he would miss all the staff of the Directorate, who treated him like one of them and never made him to feel like an intern.

According to him, “Working in the Directorate is not easy because during my stay here, programmes were attended all the time and the fact that I have to trek to circulate the UNAAB Bulletin is stressful and I worked extra hours most of the time here.

He urged the Directorate to hasten the purchase of a Dispatch Van for the circulation of the UNAAB Bulletin, emphasizing on the fact that it is always stressful dispatching the Bulletin while trekking.
