The Executive of the Nigerian Association of University Women (NAUW), UNAAB Branch, has commended the Management of the University for the unparalleled physical and human capacity development, witnessed in the institution, in the last four years.

The President of the Association, Dr. (Mrs.) C. A. Onifade, gave the commendation during a courtesy call of the Union’s Executive on the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun, at the Council Chamber.

Dr. Onifade disclosed that the association was proud to be associated with the quality and great leadership style of the Professor Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun-led administration, while assuring the Management of NAUW’s resolution to contribute its quota to the success of the University.

According to her, “the serene, aesthetic and ever inviting environment of our dear University is a scene to behold”.

The President also noted with appreciation, Management’s commitment to the welfare of staff and students while advocating for assistance towards the realization of some of the association’s objectives.

Dr. Onifade said NAUW would require an operational Office for the body on Campus and the revalidation of the allocation of a piece of land for the building of a Crèche.

Dr. Onifade also appealed for the upward review of the allowance of care-workers at the Crèche’s temporary site.

Responding, the Vice-Chancellor reiterated Management’s commitment to the general welfare of staff and students of the University while lauding the association’s complimentary efforts.

According to him “we wish we have more associations like this that will complement the welfare efforts of the University”.

He assured the association that their request will be positively considered, while urging them to keep faith with their mission, vision and belief.
