LAGOS, the “State of Aquatic Splendour” and “Centre of Excellence”, recently played host to members of the University community, as two frontline families solemnized their sons’ marriage, same day.

They are the family of the Dean, Postgraduate School and Director, Agriculture Media Resources Centre (AMREC), Profs. Steve and Catherine Afolami on one hand and that of the Director of the University’s Institute of Food Security, Environmental Resources and Agricultural Research (IFSERAR), Professor Segun Osinowo.

UNAAB’s Alabata Road, Permanent site, temporarily shifted base to Lagos on Saturday, 10th September as the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun led a quantum of members of the University community to the holy matrimonies.

UNAAB made an enviable statement and took the shine off other well-wishers as staff painted the church services and receptions of the wedding ceremonies with dazzling colours of the ceremonial uniforms.

Prof. and Mrs. Osinowo were a beautiful sight to behold as the beautiful Oluwayemisi was proclaimed wife of their son, Olufemi by the Presiding Minister at a Chruch service held at The Act of Apostles Evangelical Church, Akiode, Ikeja, Lagos.

The reception that followed at the Eko 107.5 FM Multipurpose Hall, Lagos Television Hall, Agidingbi, Ikeja, was grandiose as merriment embedded in assorted food and drink, were served in abundance.

The Afolamis were all smiles as their son, Olaolu was proclaimed the husband of the beautiful Njideka, while a lavish reception capped it all, at the University of Lagos Staff School’s Hall.
