Professor and Dr.(Mrs.) Samuel Oluwalana have won the Entrepreneurship Promoter of the Year (Enterprise Promotion) Award.
The couple bagged the award at the just-concluded Entrepreneurship Conference, Exhibitions and Awards, organized by the Enterprise Promotions’ Academy, in collaboration with the International Centre For Entrepreneurship and Career Development (of where).
The dons were honoured with the award in recognition of their innovative research activities, as academic and entrepreneurs.
The Project Coordinator, Entrepreneurship Promotions Project, Dr. (Mrs.) Funmi Oluwalana, who represented the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun at the event disclosed that the exhibition afforded the University the opportunity of showcasing value-added herbal products, FUNAAB Foods and African prints, to the delight of all.
Dr. (Mrs.) Oluwalana noted that the University was highly commended for its well-researched products.
The Project Coordinator further disclosed that the University was equally represented at the Food Security and Agriculture Entrepreneurship programme at the Terra Kulture, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Dr. (Mrs.) Oluwalana expressed appreciation to the Vice-Chancellor for the opportunity given her team, to promote entrepreneurship, create goodwill and showcase the research products of the University.
