The Principal of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, International School (FUNIS), Mrs. Adeola Olumide, has described the yuletide as a time for people to radiate and share the love of God.

Mrs. Olumide made this assertion while delivering her Welcome Address at the 7th Christmas Carol Service of FUNIS.
According to her, “God first expressed his love for mankind by giving his only begotten son to die for us despite our inadequacies”.

She therefore called on the students and other stakeholders present at the Carol Service to extend God-given love during the season, as a way to please the Lord.

Delivering the Message for the day, Pastor Timothy Olaniyi, admonished the congregation to “always give thanks to God, saying “it is in thanksgiving that you can experience joy”.

Pastor Olaniyi, who was represented by Dr. Matthew Anifowose of the Winners Chapel, said the secret to experience miracles in the New Year, 2012, is “to make a decision to fellowship with God, rejoice in hope and keep company with joyful people”.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development), Professor Felix Salako, as well as Professor (Mrs.) Elizabeth Balogun, Professor Folake Henshaw, among others, graced the Event.

Highlights of the occasion included the recitation of Bible lessons in Hausa, Yoruba and French and the Carol renditions by the student choir.
