The Professor Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun-led administration has recorded another feat with the movement of the Sports’ Directorate, to a newly-constructed, ultra-modern office complex, located at the University’s Sports’ Centre.

The nine offices and a Conference Room in the new building are tastefully furnished while the Equipment Store is well fitted with cabinet and trolleys.

Commenting on the new office complex, the Director of Sports, Mr. Bayo Oluwatoki said: “As a matter of fact, I want to thank our Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun for his visionary leadership.  In the history of FUNAAB, it has never happened this way for sports”.

“For 23 years, the Directorate of Sports has never had a befitting office until now, courtesy of our sports loving Vice-Chancellor”, he added.

The Directorate moved to a befitting permanent office complex, on January 3, prompting the new Director of Sports, Mr. Bayo Oluwatoki to declare biblically that: “when God returns the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream”.

The office is a sight to behold when FUNAAB Bulletin crew arrived the imposing architectural masterpiece, which has added to the aesthetic value of the University.

Speaking further, the Sports’ Director stated: “let me confess to you, our new office is already having a positive impact on the psychology of members of staff of the Directorate because this is the first time they are having a tastefully furnished office with privacy”.

Mr. Oluwatoki described the new office as a morale booster to members of staff of the Directorate and athletes, assuring that they will justify the huge investment of the University on sports “because to whom much is given, much is expected”.

With the movement, the Directorate has joined other arms of the University, which have recently relocated to their permanent edifices.

Among these are the Postgraduate School, College of Food and Human Ecology (COLFHEC), and College of Management Sciences (COLMAS).
