The University and the West African Network on Organic Agriculture Research and Training (WANOART), in conjunction with the Organic Agriculture Project in Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria, had fixed the dates for the 2nd International Summer School Programme in Organic Agriculture.

It is scheduled to commence from Monday, July 2 to Friday, July 13, 2012, at the University’s Senate Chamber.

According to information made available to FUNAAB Bulletin by Dr. Jonathan Atungwu, highlights of the training programme will include a 3-day inception phase, 7-day extensive field work and a day reporting phase/stakeholders’ workshop.

Target groups for the Summer School are scientists, unemployed graduates and postgraduate students with backgrounds in Agriculture, Forestry, Food Science and Technology, Agricultural Engineering, Natural Sciences and
Socio-Economics.

Possession of relevant skills and the willingness to work on the farm will be added advantage during the selection process.
