The Vice-Chancellor, University of Lagos, Prof. Adetokunbo Sofoluwe, has prayed that the tenure of the Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Prof. Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun, will come to a successful end.

Prof. Sofoluwe, who expressed the optimism during his visit to FUNAAB as a major Supervisor for Oral Ph.D defence of Mr. F. T. Ibharahu, of the Computer Science Department, congratulated the Management and staff of the University for a smooth transmutation from UNAAB to FUNAAB.

Commending the august visitor, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development), Prof. Felix Salako, thanked Prof. Sofoluwe, for making out time to come to FUNAAB, as major supervisor despite his busy schedule.

Prof. Salako recalled the historical evolution of FUNAAB, which he said will not be complete without UNILAG, as a nurturing University, while he reiterated the determination of FUNAAB to be a top ranking University, in Nigeria and beyond.

Speaking earlier, the Dean, College of Natural Sciences (COLNAS), Prof. Tope Popoola, appreciated Prof. Sofoluwe for his efforts at improving Computer Science education in Nigeria.

Prof. Popoola commended the commitment of the visiting Vice-Chancellor, whom he noted was visiting FUNAAB for the second time, on similar mission, despite his administrative commitments.
