The history of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta will not be complete without acknowledging the enviable contributions of late Chief (Dr.) Moses Adekoyejo Majekodunmi.

The Anglican Bishop of Egba Diocese, Rt. Revd. Emmanuel Adekunle disclosed this at the Funeral Service for the First Republic Minister, held at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Ikereku, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Chief Lawrence Ayinde Olakunle Osayemi with the Vice-Chancellor Professor O. O. Balogun led a powerful delegation of the University to the Service.

Bishop Adekunle, while reeling out a catalogue of Chief Majekodunmi’s contributions to humanity said he largely facilitated the take-off of FUNAAB.

The Pro-Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor were among scores of dignitaries who led a delegation, comprising Governing Council members that graced the funeral service.

They are Mrs. Carol Obioha, Professor Babatunde Kehinde, Dr. Sola Akinwande, the Acting Registrar and Secretary to Council, Mrs. Christiana Kuforiji, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Development, Professor Felix Salako.

Prominent among dignitaries at the funeral were Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Governors of Ogun, Ondo and Oyo States, immediate past Governors of Osun and Ekiti States, former Governor of Ogun State, Segun Osoba; Senator Musiliu Obanikoro; Senator Daisy Danjuma, renowned Accountant; Chief Akintola Williams, Professor Wole Soyinka, among others.
