“Where there is no love, development cannot take place. I am imploring you to cooperate with the new Vice-Chancellor”.
These were the words of the Onisaga of Isaga, Oba Joseph Olusoji Oladele Tella, Arapapatira II, who made the appeal at his Palace at Isaga-Orile, when the immediate past Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun received the Chieftaincy title of Akinfimogboye of Isaga Orile, on Saturday, 26th May, 2012.
The monarch, therefore, enjoined all stakeholders to support the new Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olusola Bandele Oyewole, to take the University to greater heights, as he pledged his continued royal support for the University.
Also speaking at the occasion, the Balogun of Isaga Orile and the Chairman of the University’s Governing Council, Chief Lawrence Ayinde Olakunle Osayemi, attested to the fact that the Chieftaincy title conferred on Professor Balogun was to appreciate his contributions towards the development of Isaga Orile.
According to him, “if you can remember vividly, FUNAAB took its extension programme to Isaga-Orile, where the students continue part of their courses”.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development), Prof. Felix Salako, giving the vote of thanks appreciated the sons and daughters of Isaga-Orile for giving FUNAAB students the needed cooperation in the pursuance of their programmes.
