The Director of the Centre for Entrepreneural Studies (CENTS), Professor Olukayode Bamgbose, has called on the parents of candidates seeking admission into the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, (FUNAAB), to exercise no fear, as the University’s policy of merit admission stands.

Professor Bamgbose made this known during a chat with FUNAAB Bulletin, after educating parents of candidates on FUNAAB’s admission modalities and the expectation from the incoming students.

Also speaking, the University’s Counsellor, Mrs. Modesta Ofodile, who addressed the parents informed that they were grateful to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olusola Bandele Oyewole, for coming to identify with them during the session.

The students, who could not hide their feelings about their expectations and aspirations described FUNAAB as one of the best Universities in the country.

According to Lapite Tolulope, who is seeking admission to study Business Administration, College of Management Sciences (COLMAS), “FUNAAB environment is good, there is discipline in place, the environment is neat and I would love to contribute to it”.

Describing the conduct of the examination, Mariam Oseni, who came from Oyo State with the aspiration to study Accountancy, said “the whole process is peaceful, fair and no sign of any form of malpractices”.

Akinpelu Adebisi, a pre-degree student in the Institute of Human Resources and Development (INHURD), noted that one remarkable attribute about FUNAAB is the discipline. She, however, advised other prospective students to brace up and face their studies upon admission into FUNAAB.

A parent, Mr. Ade Adegbite, described FUNAAB as a beautiful campus, where he would want his son to be.

According to Mr. Adegbite, “I came in to find out about the place and discovered that it has a good topography and well-mannered staff”.

He further noted that the staff’s approach to visitors showed that it is truly an academic environment.
