The Registrar, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Mr. Mathew Odunlade Ayoola, has called on the Executive members of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), FUNAAB Chapter, to embrace peace and dialogue with the University’s Management when engaging in issues of common interest.
He gave the advice at the SSANU Congress, held last week, at the College of Plant Science and Crop Production (COLPLANT).
Mr. Ayoola, who was attending the Congress for the first time, promised to ensure that he puts the interest of staff at heart, always.
The Registrar noted that it was a privilege for him to be the Chief Administrative Officer of FUNAAB, promising not to betray the confidence reposed in him.
“I see Trade Union as a relevant sector in any system and we have to recognise the essence of Unionism”, he added.
He expressed appreciation to SSANU for the honour bestowed on him, to address the Congress, as he commissioned the newly-acquired SSANU Bus.
He urged the staff Union to embark on laudable projects that will be beneficial to its members.
