The Vice-Chancellor has been commended for using the internal mechanism of the University’s facilities and personnel to conduct the 2011/2012 Farm Practical Year (FPY) e-Examination.

The Director of the University’s Time Table Committee (TIMTEC), Dr. Ikechukwu James; the Director, Community-Based Farming Scheme (COBFAS), Dr. Joe Atungwu, his Deputy, Dr. Eniola Fabusoro and the Director, Teaching Farm Management Committe (TEFAMAC), Dr. Moruf Adebisi, gave the commendation in a chat with FUNAAB Bulletin after the e-Exam on Thursday.

Speaking in separate interviews, the respondents described the FPY e-Exam as unique, as it was the first time that the University’s facilities and personnel of ICTREC were engaged to conduct the examination.

They pointed out that the exercise had hitherto been contracted to an external ICT-based firm to conduct the exam for the University.

Dr. Adebisi stated that with the successful conduct of the FPY e-Exam, Professor Oyewole has saved the University from what ordinarily would have cost it a fortune.

Besides, they described it as an indication that the University has the wherewithal to internally conduct larger e-Exams sessions without contracting it to external firms.
