The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olusola Bandele Oyewole has declared that he was not in office to steal University’s money.

Professor Oyewole gave the assurance during an interview with FUNAAB Bulletin and Ogun State Bureau Chief of the SUN Newspaper, Mr. Moshood Adebayo.

Professor Oyewole declared that his position as Vice-Chancellor stands for leadership with integrity, adding that “I am not here to steal money. That is one of the things that I told myself, that I am not in this position to make a single kobo”.

Expressing the commitment of his administration to the development and advancement of the University, Professor Oyewole disclosed that Management has decided that 40 percent of internally generated revenue will be channelled towards capital projects.

Speaking on the utilization of funds generated through acceptance fees, the Vice-Chancellor said, “We are committing the whole money to activities or programmes connected to the improvement of the lives of our students”.

Professor Oyewole further stated that his vision for FUNAAB is to transform it into a world class university, where world class graduates are produced, to impact positively in the country.

According to him, “graduates of this University will not seek for jobs. They are supposed to leave the University and create jobs, create opportunities and therefore the knowledge acquired from here will help them to be able to develop themselves and also develop their communities”.
