The Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Professor Olusola Bandele Oyewole is to be inaugurated as the Grand War Marshal of the Man ‘O’ War Club, FUNAAB Base.

Speaking at a pre-event meeting with the top officers of the Club, Professor Oyewole lauded the services the Club has been rendering to the University, charging them to keep it up.

The Vice-Chancellor who expressed his gratitude for the honour, called on the club to harmonise the inauguration with the Orientation Programme for Freshers, coming up tentatively first Wednesday of resumption.

Corroborating the Vice-Chancellor, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Development, Professor Felix Salako commended the club for possessing good public image adding that, it was the basis for the commendation letter presented by the University Management to the out-gone officers.

Professor Salako, who called on the Club to assist with some environmental issues like blocked drainages around the University community, also admonished members not to allow their academic career to suffer at the expense of their voluntary service to humanity.

In his response, the Commander-in-Chief who is a 500-Level student of Animal Production and Health, College of Animal Science and Livestock Production (COLANIM), Mr. Ogunkunle Nathaniel, expressed appreciation to the Vice-Chancellor for taking-out time to meet with them inspite of his busy schedules.

The highpoint of the meeting was the decoration of the Vice-Chancellor with the Club’s Lapel Pin.
