An Associate Professor in the Department of Communication and General Studies, College of Agricultural Management and Rural Development (COLAMRUD), Dr. James Oyebode Shopeju has been honoured with an award by his Alma Mater, Government College Ibadan, Old Boys Association (GCIOBA), Abeokuta Branch for his meritorious service to the Branch.

The Association honoured Dr. Shopeju alongside three others including his wife, the Special Adviser on Agriculture to the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Mrs. Tinuola Shopeju at the 2012 Annual Luncheon and Lecture, held on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at the NUT Hall 2, Kuto, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The titled Lecture, Separation of Religion and State was delivered by Senator (Dr.) Tunji Adelekan under the Chairmanship of Dr. Adeoye Aina.

The award is in recognition of their active role in the activities of the Association at the national level as they continue to invest heavily to stem the tide of infrastructural decay, downturn in the academic standard and morals in the school.
