The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olusola Bandele Oyewole has charged members of the University Community, to imbibe the values of Integrity, Excellence, Commitment, Discipline, Focus and the Fear of God, in the discharge of their duties.

Prof. Oyewole, who gave the charge in his Introductory Remarks, at the University 37th Inaugural Lecture, held at Professor Mahmood Yakubu Lecture Theatre on Wednesday, said the values if imbibed and sustained by Staff and Students, as well as other stakeholders, will enhance service delivery to the University.

The Vice-Chancellor stated that more importantly, the values aforementioned, if cultivated and inculcated will enhance the University quest for a world-class status.

Professor Oyewole called on researchers to be proactive by carrying out researches that are relevant to the need of the people, as well as developed the nation.

He stressed that to this end, “this University (FUNAAB) is strengthening its research activities. We are promoting quality and excellence in our admission process, staff and students condition in our service delivery of teaching, research and community engagement”.
