The Registrar, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Mr. Mathew Ayoola has called on the new students of Part-time Degree programme in the University to shun all anti-social acts while in the institution.

He made this known while delivering a Paper titled, “History/Code of Conduct, Rules and Regulations of the University during the Orientation Programme organized for new students.

The Registrar advised the new students to make moderation their watchword, adding that involving in any unruly act may lead to sanction.

“This is a civilized environment and I urge you to comport yourselves”, he stressed.

Mr. Ayoola reeled out the History, Rules and Regulations of the University which he described as a guide to the new students.

Professor Sunday Onifade, the Dean, Student Affairs in Paper titled, “Effects of Campus Life on New intakes and Benefit of Shunning Anti-social Behaviours and Destructives Lifestyles” admonished students to live a healthy lifestyles.

He said living a healthy lifestyles will lead to better productivity, long life, goal attainment and focused life.

The Dean, Student Affairs urged the students to abstain from Cultism and other vices which can hinder them from getting to higher level adding that involving in examination malpractices will lead to rustication.

In her presentation titled, “The Challenges of Living away from Homes and Living in Heterogeneous Society/Effective Study Habit in the University” the University Guidance and Counselor, Mrs. Modesta Ofodile represented by Mr. Akinmade Adesope called on the new students to cultivate the habit of going to Library and they should create a personal timetable.

The University’s Director of Health Centre, Dr. Olusola Talabi represented by Dr. O. O. Ososanya in a paper titled, “Healthy Living Styles, Nutrition, Sex Education/Health Facilities on Campus” pointed out that students need to be taken fruits and involved in physical activities as these will enhance their brain functioning.

He stressed that they should avoid taking alcohol, excess intake of salt, carbohydrates and unprotected sex adding that moderation should be their watchword.
