Mrs.-Emily-Nkiruka-OkpeteStudents of the Federal University of Agriculture International School (FUNIS), have demonstrated excellence in the just-concluded May/June 2013 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results, conducted by the West African Examinations Council. The results of the students, released on the official website of WAEC, were communicated to the University Management by the Acting Head, Mrs. Emily Okpete.

An analysis of the result shows that 57 candidates were presented for the examination in a total of 21 subjects. 84% made English Language above the credit level, while 100 per cent success was recorded in Mathematics. Other subjects such as Chemistry and Physics recorded 90 and 83 per cent success, out of the 30 candidates that sat for the papers. Subjects such as Government, Literature-in-English, Economics, Commerce, Geography, Biology, Agricultural Science, Financial Accounting, French Language and others also recorded outstanding performances by the students.

An elated Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olusola Oyewole, has since congratulated staff and students of FUNIS on the feat.
