A team of FUNAAB student writers, under the aegis of Top-Notch Writers’ Association, recently paid a working visit to the University’s Directorate of Public Relations, to solicit for professional assistance in realising the objectives of the group.

The President, Mr. Aliu Oluwafemi, stated that the purpose of the visit was to work out ways by which the Directorate could assist his group in promoting creative writing, public speaking and press journalism. Receiving the team on behalf of Mrs. Emi’ Alawode, Head, Directorate of Public Relations; Mr Adewale Kupoluyi, Assistant Director, Protocol and Passages, commended the students for their activities on campus and the bold step they had taken to become relevant in the system through effective information dissemination.

Mr. Kupoluyi enumerated the activities of the Directorate and assured the group of the necessary support in areas of news coverage of their events and mentoring, using in-house professionals, as he urged the students to make use of every available opportunity to practice their God-given talents. He further encouraged them to regularly send their write-ups for publication in the FUNAAB Bulletin.

Mr. Aliu expressed his appreciation to the Directorate for the words of encouragement with a promise that the group would enhance communication between the University Community and students in particular.
