It was a memorable event recently, when the University Management formally presented the 2012/2013 Annual Report of the University to the Governing Council.

While handing-over copies of the publication to the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Senator/Sir (Dr.) Adeseye Ogunlewe and other members during the 77th Statutory Meeting of the Council, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olusola Oyewole pointed out that the Annual Report was a detailed account of events in the University within the last academic year.

He commended all members of staff of the University for the successes recorded in the past year, as well as the Annual Report’s Editor and Director of Academic Planning, Dr. Olukayode Akinyemi, for coordinating the timely production of the report.

Responding, Senator Ogunlewe lauded the team spirit and cooperation displayed by members of staff of the University and recommended that copies of the report be sent to all the necessary government ministries, departments and agencies, as well as other stakeholders of FUNAAB to showcase the numerous activities and achievements of the University.

The Vice-Chancellor, while speaking on the 7-Chapter report titled, We Are Advancing To Greater Heights reminded that in the year 2013, the University was “designated a World Bank Centre of Excellence in Agriculture through our proposal on the establishment of the ‘Centre of Excellence in Agricultural development and Sustainable Environment (CEADESE)’. Our University now has increased support and scholarship for foreign students. Our researchers are now involved in more international collaborations and partnerships. We are progressively attracting more international grants from big funding agencies more than ever before”. He stated, that the University would not rest on its oars, but work harder to record greater achievements again soon.
