Prof. Mufutau Adekojo Waheed was appointed a Professor of Thermofluids and Fluid Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering, Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB) in October, 2008. He has held different positions since he assumed duty including: Ag. Programme Leader, IFSERAR since November 2009, Head of Mechanical Engineering Department on 13th February to August 2010 , Deputy Dean, College of Engineering on 2nd April , 2010, Director of Academic Planning on 13th September, 2010 to 31st December, 2013 and presently Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) on 1st January 2014 till date. He holds a Doctor of Engineering Science Degree, (Dr. Eng. Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering, from Aachen University of Technology (RWTH) Aachen; Master in Engineering M. Eng. (Mechanical Engineering), from the University of Ilorin, in July 1995 and Bachelor of Engineering, B. Eng. (Hons.) Second Class (Honours) Upper Division (Mechanical Engineering), from the University of Ilorin, in August 1990.He has earned himself so many prizes/awards including the prestigious Commonwealth Fellowship at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Bath, Claverton Down, Bath, BA2 7AY, United Kingdom; German academic exchange service (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst, DAAD) Scholarship for PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Aachen University of Technology (RWTH), Aachen, Germany; University Prize as the best Graduating Student in Mechanical Engineering Department, University of Ilorin and University Scholar as the best student in Mechanical Engineering Department; University of Ilorin. He has supervised many Master’s and Doctorate students. He is a Corporate Member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE) and a Registered Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering Practice in Nigeria (COREN). . He has attended many conferences, workshops and short courses at home and abroad including: World Engineers’ Convention with the theme: “Mankind – Nature – Technology”; EXPO 2000 in Hannover, Germany; 18th – 21st June 2000, Working session of experts of society of process technique and chemical engineering “CFD Computational Fluid Dynamics” and “Mixing Process“ in Wernigerode, Germany 1st – 2nd March, 2001, Workshop to Develop Minimum Academic Standard for Postgraduate Diploma Students in Engineering organised by the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, 16th – 17th May, 2005, Short Courses on “Modelling of Multiphase Flows; Part I – Bases, Part II – Computational Modelling” Hosted by the Federal Institute of Technology, (ETH) Zurich, Switzerland, March 16 – 20, 1998 and many others.
