Don’t Lose Focus …FUNAAB VC Charges Corp Members

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kolawole Salako has charged the outgoing Corp Members of the Batch A Stream 1 and 2 of the 2017/2018 Set not to lose focus in whatever they do as their time will surely come.

Speaking through the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development), Professor Lateef Sanni, the Vice-Chancellor charged the ex-FUNAAB Corp Members not to be quick in making hasty decisions and conclusions about their Lives, during the Send-Forth organized for them by the University.

The Vice-Chancellor admonished them to have hope in Nigeria, encouraging them to try their hands on private business of interest or entrepreneurial ventures while probably awaiting white collar jobs. He further advised those that wish to further their education, to do so earnestly without waiting for when they will have all the money.

Appreciating the Vice-Chancellor and the University Management at large, the Internal Corp Liaison Officer (ICLO), Mr. Uchechukwu Okolie appreciated Management for their support to the Corp Members, especially during period of the Non teaching staff strike.

The ICLO who noted that transportation was the major challenge faced by the Corp Members serving in the University, appealed to Management to address it, in order to to better the lot of future Corp Members in the University.

Some of the Corp Members present at the Send-Forth ceremony described their experience in FUNAAB as worthwhile and memorable, saying that the environment and staff are hospitable.

The high point of the Send-Forth was the presentation of University’s gifts to the Corp Members.

The event were, the Registrar, Dr. ‘Bola Adekola and the Deputy Registrar II, Vice-Chancellor’s Office, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Dawodu.
