The University in its entirety has been described as a perfect location for the hosting and recording of Queen Varsity Afrika Reality Television Show, a programme aimed at empowering the African female.

Speaking during the formal Flag-Off of the Show, the Project Consultant, Miss Jasmine Ofoegbu who expressed unreserved gratitude to the University Management for approving the request for the use of the Institution to host the Project said as soon as she saw the alluring Landscape and serene environment of the University and its various facilities, she knew immediately that she had found the perfect location.

Miss Ofoegbu assured the University Management that the Show would bring goodwill to the Institution as it would be portrayed as an agent of change and a driving force for African female empowerment.

Ofoegbu said she was amazed by the quality and magnitude of facilities on Campus, adding that the University has what it takes to host International Reality Show.

According to her, the facilities include Industrial Park Unit where cassava is processed into odourless fufu, gari, as well as cashew nuts, palm wine, palm oil and Bakery.

Others are FUNAAB Zoological Garden, Sports Centre, Guest House, Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies (CENT), Information and Communication Technology Centre (ICTREC).

Welcoming the Project Consultant and Contestants, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kolawole Salako who was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Professor Morenike Dipeolu disclosed that the University prides herself in empowering the female gender, stressing that FUNAAB’s support is premised on the fact that the reality show is all about female empowerment.

She encouraged the Coordinator to make use of FUNAAB’s beautiful environment and facilities to project the University’s image positively, while enjoining the Contestants to make decency and modesty their guide in all their actions and dealings.
