The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun has charged Corps members that served in the University to consider themselves as stakeholders and be good ambassadors of the Institution.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun, gave this charge at the Send-Forth party held in honour of the outgoing Batch ‘B’ 2010/2011 Corps members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

Represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development), Professor Segun Lagoke, the Vice-Chancellor advised the Corps Members to put to good use all they learnt during their service year, urging them to always give a good account of themselves as they progress in life.

Professor Balogun admonished the Corps members to always exhibit the great virtues of discipline and excellence, impacted in them in the course of their service in the University.

In her Remarks, the Odeda Local Government Inspector, Mrs. Esther Oyelumade, who represented the State NYSC Cooordinator, appreciated the University Management for its traditional warm hospitality to Corps members, which she noted was well appreciated by the service.

In his Vote of Thanks, the Internal Corps Liaison Officer (ICLO), Mr. Ikechukwu Ndem, commended the Management for the level of discipline maintained among staff and students with an appreciation of the memorable fellowship they enjoyed during their stay in the University.

The highpoint of the event was the presentation of gifts to the Corps members by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development), Professor Segun Lagoke and the Acting Registrar of the University, Mr. Adeleke Adeboye.
