Members of the University community, who are talented or interested in radio broadcasting, have been urged to horn their skills by taking advantage of the institution’s Radio, FUNAAB FM, which will commence transmission, soon.

Speaking exclusively to FUNAAB Bulletin, the Coordinator of FUNAAB FM, Mr. Ayo Arowojolu, said the radio station is all embracing and open to all talented members of staff and students of the University to exhibit their skills.

The seasoned journalist disclosed that some staff and students, who are established broadcasters, like the British Broadcasting Corporation-trained Rufai Oseni and a Dean in one of the Colleges, had expressed their readiness to anchor programmes on the station.

Mr. Arowojolu affirmed that the Radio operations will be based on teamwork. “We are opening to staff and students, world of opportunities, to develop their potentials and creativity. We are giving every member of the University community the opportunity to be heard”, he stated.

He assured that the Radio Station will change the entire facets of the University by contributing to the realization of the dreams of the Founding Fathers through the projection of the FUNAAB mandate, especially, in the area of extension service.

Mr. Arowojolu stated that “what will make FUNAAB FM unique would be ingenuity, originality, and resourcefulness, which will be abundantly deployed to inform, educate and entertain members of the University community”.
