The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun has passed a vote of confidence on the University’s Directorate of Public Relations for a job well done, as well as for its contributions towards the success of his administration.

The Vice-Chancellor expressed the appreciation at the Media Appreciation Dinner, held in honour of journalists in Ogun State.

The Vice-Chancellor said the Directorate of Public Relations has proven its mettle, as it is doing well, with a crop of professionals any University would be proud of.

He described the relationship between FUNAAB’s Management and the media as cordial hoping that the warmness will wax stronger, with the incoming administration.

“This is the second social gathering of both the Nigeria Union of Journalists and the Correspondents’ Chapel with the FUNAAB community in the last one year,” he noted.

At the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor expressed the optimism that FUNAAB’s VC-designate, Prof. Olusola Bandele Oyewole would record greater success in office.

Speaking on behalf of the Ogun State chapters of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) and the Correspondents’ Chapel, Mr. Tunde Sodeke and Mr. Kehinde Akinyemi, respectively, extolled the virtues of the Vice-Chancellor as an outstanding administrator, who has taken the University to greater heights.

The journalists lauded the good rapport existing between FUNAAB and the media.
